Sukup Fans and Heaters

When Sukup Manufacturing Company introduced our first product, the stirring machine, we were surprised to learn how much difference there was in the drying rates of similar bins. It became very apparent that this difference was due to the make of the fan, even though they were often the same motor horsepower.

We knew that for your equipment to be successful, an excellent fan needed to be on the drying bin. So, we set out to design and build the best fan on the market. Today, Sukup fans have earned a reputation for giving the highest airflow, quality and reliability. Just ask our customers -- performance has made Sukup fans #1.

Sukup Centrifugal Fans -- First in Airflow, Flawless Performance

The fan is the key to a successful drying or aeration system. Sukup takes great effort in designing and manufacturing the best fans possible. That's why Sukup is #1 in sales of centrifugal fans. Compare our prices and airflow (as tested by an independent laboratory); you'll discover why Sukup is #1.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Highest airflow has made Sukup #1 in centrifugal fans.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Special airfoil blades move more air due to the backward curved, non-overloading design.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Fan wheels are statically and dynamically balanced for smooth, trouble-free operation.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Quiet operation provides a safer working environment.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Green powder-coat painted, galvanized venturis are extremely rust and corrosion resistant.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Adjustable leveling legs on 3-20hp fans allow easy leveling and support while giving more flexibility to adjust to inconsistencies in concrete pads.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Double inlet fans are available on 30hp and larger 1750 RPM fans. The double-blade design blows away comparable single-blade fans in airflow and efficiency.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) All Sukup fans are available as 50 hz and other voltages to meet worldwide requirements.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Exclusive lip on the fan outlet easily connects the fan to the heater or transition to form a tight air seal.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Quiet operation provides a safer working environment and less irritation for workers and surrounding residential areas.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Housings are made with heavy-duty, galvanized steel to resist rust and stand up to the elements.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes)Curved spun inlet venturis improve efficiency.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Sukup also offers a full line of high speed (3500 RPM) centrifugal fans, which are ideal for deep grain depths, aerating small grains or anywhere that static pressure is high, as in commercial applications.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Sukup In-Line Fans feature a centrifugal fan wheel built into an axial housing and are ideal for higher static pressures.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Sukup now offers 25 hp and 40 hp single inlet centrifugal fans.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) 25 hp single inlet fans are available with electric motor or direct engine drive.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) 40 hp single inlet fans available as direct engine drive only.

Sukup Centrifugal Heaters

Sukup Centrifugal Downstream Heaters give up to 20% greater drying capacity than a conventional upstream heater placed on the fan inlet. By placing the heater downstream, between the fan and transition, air goes through the fan and then is heated. Because air expands as it's heated, this design gives increased drying capacity.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Special vanes obtain the critical gas and air mixture necessary for efficient burning.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Extensive testing has produced a heater that burns with an intense blue flame, allowing complete, clean combustion at up to 6" of static pressure.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) A large service door allows easy access to the inner components of the heater.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) The standard divided control box separates gas and electrical components while protecting them from the elements.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Sukup heaters feature a solid state circuit board for simpler, more trouble-free operation.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Unique, separate transformer produces an aggressive spark for reliable, easy ignition.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Stainless steel flame sensor is more reliable and will last longer than a flame probe.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Sukup heaters have more standard safety features than any other brand.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) A coiled vaporizer is available to burn liquid propane where more heat is required, such as in colder climates.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Two-way adjustment of the vaporizer allows for operation over a wider outside temperature range.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) The exclusive Sukup vaporizer high limit features manual reset, so you can tell if the vaporizer needs to be readjusted.

web_bullet.jpg (904 bytes) Heater control options include thermostat or humidistat, modulating valve or high-low thermostat.
